Valentine Caress
Valentine’s Day can be as dark as the shadow of love that was lost. But really, it’s a happy song in its catharsis.
Lyrics:
14 February…and I don’t care.
Used up my propositions, no one took the dare.
Nothing seems that different from this day to the next
But I feel a little hollow, there’s an arrow in my chest,
Must be that sweet ‘ole valentine caress…
Oh yes…caress.
I knew an honest beauty once, once upon a time
But I was young and I let her go to see what I could find.
Now I can’t be satisfied without pure love divine
Must be the ghost of my old valentine…all mine
Valentine…all mine.
Gonna look you up, gonna take you out
Gonna find where we left off.
Our differences were trivial
I just can’t do without…your love…
your love….without…your love….
You’re probably married to another dreamer
I oughta sleep.
I scan over the crowd once more
Hope my eyes will meet
The one who’s gonna finally put your memory to rest
With a touch of sweet old valentine caress…
woah yes, caress……woah…yes, I said caress! Oh yes… caress….

Down In The Land
The connection to the land brings me close to who I am. To share that with who I love is a quest of the heart.
Lyrics:
In the silence…you called me.
In the darkness…I felt you.
I knew that the time had come
So I snapped the chain and began to run….
Home..one of my many homes
Haven’t given up the race, but it was time for me to roam.
From the concrete to the Carolinas
I came to as the distance grew.
City anxiety fading behind me,
On a frosted mountain I extended roots….
Deep under icy falls shines a moon from a blue sky,
eagles calling, as I wish you by my side
to watch the sun burn down the night!
My heart has been here before
With your love my peace assured
I found a heaven upon the ground
Grace surpassing reason’s bounds….
chorus: Down in the land, the soil melts my shield.
Down upon the land, beauty takes me down to who I am.
Who I am…someday I might understand
When I’m holding you upon our land.
My heart has been here before
With your love my peace assured
I found a heaven upon the ground
Grace surpassing reason’s bounds….
Chorus
2nd chorus:
Down in the land, the soil melts my urban shield.
Down upon the land, beauty takes me down to who I am.

Made Up Dreams
What is real and what’s an illusion? Will you let one rule the other in life and love?
Lyrics:
Saw your face on the movie screen,
Your body was too beautiful to be believed,
But you know that I’m a sucker for a fantasy.
The eyes, the smile, the curves, the style,
You know that I’ll be thinking of you for a while.
In fact it may become a small obsession.
I’m lost in wishing you could be
So madly in love with me….
That you’d forget your movie man and
Step right through the silver screen to me.
These dreams could be, these dreams could be!
There’s another woman that’s in my life, we never used to have much strife.
Y’know, I think I even said I loved her.
But lately things just don’t seem right, every night ends up a fight.
She always says my mind is too distracted.
Last night came the last mistake, I slipped on my tongue and called her plain.
She threw me out in the pouring rain and I headed for the bright lights.
Ooo…Into the night…into the night…where dreams take flight!
Found a bar that had no name, the drinks they served were local fame.
I raised a toast to love and to illusion.
Then there across the empty bar, howled my sacred movie star.
The T.V. screen transformed her to a monster.
Confused and cross I stumbled on, woke up dazed on my front lawn,
As gentle hands dispersed the haze for the lucky guy his sweetest girl forgave.
You’ve gotta burn the make-up, inspect the soul,
Find someone you’ll love when you’re old.
Burn the make-up, don’t try to hide,
‘Cause all that counts is the heart inside.
I’m lost in wishing you could be
So madly in love with me…
But you can keep your movie man
My fantasies are more than skin deep.
These dreams could be, I know they all could be could be.
Yes, I know that they could be, yeah they could be!
