Bio

Music Bio

I have recently relocated to Asheville, North Caorlina, but originally I headed out of my hometown of Milwaukee to present my musical ideas to audiences around Europe and the US. I was challenged by the music industry to define one category for my blend of rock, folk and funky-blues, but withstood their pressure to follow the trends and concentrated on the lyrical message.

I made friends with others from this school of thought like the Indigo Girls who shared their stages with me. There have been many excellent musicians in the Eric Everett Band over the years and countless adventure tales that were our performances, mainly in the New York City area.

The release of my CD, Dreams To Be, spread EE music across college and internet radio while the songs placed high in national contests. With the release of a CD of Earth-rock-for-kids called Animal Party under the alias of “Triple E,” I rode a wave of recognition from the New York Times and other papers. I continue to pursue making music and videos in that series as well as live, solo-acoustic performances as Triple E and for Eric Everett shows for the “other” music.

THEATER BIO:

Although I have been involved in theater productions since I was a little guy, it really soaked into my soul through the program at my high school in Shorewood, WI  – which is still the best theater I’ve ever worked in.  I dived in further in college at the State University of New York at Purchase. While there I explored (or bluffed my way into) classes in all the arts. I wrote and directed four plays and a musical and produced numerous other performances and videos as Director of the Purchase Experimental Theater and Technical Director for the Humanities Theater. I also worked at the Seven Stages theater in Atlanta. Since then I have taught Drama and Theater Design at schools in and around the New York City area. I continue to work as a freelance director and set designer while writing more plays and musicals. The most popular being the environment show for kids called Animal Party that the New York Times called “A musical link to ecology for children.” More shows in that series are next!
