Beyond The Walls

What are the borders between us we have learned not to cross? Who taught us these things and why? The walls are only in our mind. The heart will break them down.

Lyrics:
Woah, woah, woah woah woah, woah, wo-oh……

Colors congregate by kind, closely knit suspicious minds,
I see you hangin’ out along the fringes
I can’t see yet I perceive the we are much alike
Praise the heart that tries to prove the love’s not blind

chorus: When I see you walkin’, I lose the world I climb the walls
When your eyes are talkin’, you speak a loving language known by all
Beyond the walls

Woah, woah, woah woah woah, woa-ho, wo-oh……

Close encounter late one night, the others all have gone
Leaving you and me and hours before the dawn
Side by side upon the wall we probe each other’s lives
You infatuate, but I hesitate and I don’t know why

chorus

Beyond the wa-lls……Beyond the wa-lls……

Beyond the walls I dream a place where we can share a common space,
And we see through open minds.
Beyond the walls of fear and hate we could unlearn and recreate
New visions for our times.

In a black and white world, the boy gets the girl,
But everybody knows it’s not easy, you must get beyond the clothes.
As you search deeper within look to your heart beyond the skin,
Don’t deny the love that grows.

chorus: to …..language…known by all…… Known by all beyond the walls…
Known by all beyond these walls.
We’ve gotta climb… beyond the walls.
